Follow the golden rules for funding your franchise

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

Planning to open a franchise of your own, but think you’re short of funds? Don’t worry – just follow these simple tips which can help you get good results from your franchise investment.

1) Thorough research
It is always essential to thoroughly research a franchise that you have chosen to be a part of. The trading performance of any business is directly linked with the commitment that you bring to the business.

2) British Franchise Association
If possible, attend the British Franchise Association’s seminar and purchase their franchise guide which can help you to research whether your chosen franchise is the right option for you or not.

3) Take your time
Don’t rush to make a commitment until you are completely prepared for it. If a franchisor tries to convince you by saying that you may miss a golden opportunity unless you sign today then just walk away. You should always have a discussion with your family as to what would happen if things do not go as planned.

5) Prepare your business plan
Before you approach any of the finance providers you are required to have a properly justified business plan. The proper way of presenting your plan is very important as it creates a positive impact.

These are some tips that can help you when setting up your own franchise.

Franchising is the way out in the current credit crunch

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

A successful local firm has said that in the current credit crunch, franchising could be the right solution for potential business owners.

Despite the difficult financial conditions, from the start of the year Bromsgrove-based Mr Electric has seen plenty of franchisees joining the electrical services group.

Many people are starting their business under a parent company to see the advantages of it. According to national franchise developer, June Falvey, the people who are worried by the financial pressure of the credit crunch can go for a franchise to be safe. She said that the credit crunch encourages people to go for franchise as there is less risk involved when compared to an ordinary business.

According to the British Franchise Association (BFA), voluntary body for UK franchises, many people are successful in the country because of the franchisers defying the credit crunch. This has affected many sectors of the business world. They said that franchising is one of the most successful businesses in recent times.

According to a NatWest/BFA survey in the UK, last year the economic contribution of franchises grew by 15 percent. In the current trading business, many new entrepreneurs and companies are succeeding as a franchise.

Clive Houston, the managing director of Mr Electric UK and Ireland said that they provide support and training and pass on their expertise and knowledge to those who are looking to start a new franchise business.

Eeze solutions to your website problems

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

Spoton.net which launched its self-help service ‘It’seeze’ appears to have constantly grown over the last 4 years, selling around 500 websites. The system is a tool that helps build and edit websites, whilst also giving customers full reign of their marketing, sales and promotion strategies. It’seeze provides website solutions that are new and it adds updated functions and tools to all the customer sites for free. With the help of these tools, customers can add pages and sections to their websites and introduce new services and products as and when they please.

It is difficult for web designers to design different websites for companies that offer the same kinds of products all the time. This limitation leads to low selling points of many business websites. Since the websites do not have any competitors, it acts as a tremendous advantage to its customers.

With It’seeze, any customer can have their own up-to-date website that would usually cost a fortune, without having to rely on a website company and spending money every time they need to edit the website. It also allows the customers to market and sell their business, change the look of their website to keep it fresh at their own leisure.

Every franchisee of the company that makes a sale earns an income instantly. The company provides a comprehensive training kit for the business that helps the franchisee start the business at once.
