Andy Bloore and Jeff Deeming have been working together as successful franchise owners of Ovenclean for over five years and have recently been targeting local schools as potential oven cleaning clients. Jeff said that they cover a part of North West and are currently cleaning three huge private schools in the area, each which has more than 2,000 students.

Jeff also said that their business is really booming and the three schools along with their existing domestic oven cleaning service presently include approximately nine homes a day. The pair first met in 1997 when working for an engineering company and eventually became firm friends. Some years later, both of them began to look for an appropriate franchise to invest in and then tracked Ovenclean for six months or more, prior to visiting the head office of the company.

Jeff further added that they were really very impressed looking at the potential for growth and were also encouraged by the size of the market. The environmentally friendly Ovenclean system was also superb. In fact, they were supposed to visit another similar company. However, after they spoke to Ovenclean, they cancelled it because they knew that they found exactly what they were looking for.

Ovenclean offers professional oven cleaning services to an extensive and virtually untapped marketplace. Franchise owners function from professionally liveried vans and thus benefit from high flexibility and low overheads. Also, the proven business model of Ovenclean is simple to manage, easy to learn and delivers a flexible and high earning lifestyle.

McDonald’s moves headquarters from London to Geneva

Monday, July 20th, 2009

McDonald’s, one of the most famous fast food chains in the world, has now moved its headquarters to Geneva from London since Switzerland is a better location to manage its IP licensing through Europe. This widely anticipated move was a year in the planning and is set to be completed this autumn. This move is not the result of the new UK legislation which governs the taxation of foreign profits. The change was made due to the ability to strategically manage key intellectual European property rights.

The company has also said that its overall tax tally will remain unaffected by the move. While the current corporate tax rate is 28 percent in the United Kingdom, the McDonald’s tax rate will remain at thirty percent after its relocation move. The corporate tax in Switzerland varies between thirteen to thirty five percent depending on the location of residence. This switch by McDonald’s is seen as a strategic move to steer clear of the new tax reforms in the United Kingdom.

Another important factor cited by the company as the reason for the move is that the political and economic environment is extremely stable in Switzerland. McDonald’s will make this move by autumn of this year.
