ACT Clean Support Annual Acorn Awards

We are delighted to have been able to support the 26th annual Acorn Awards. Our first, of many, as partner and sponsor and the beginning of a very exciting opportunity for us.

Inspired by some of the world’s greatest hotel and restaurant operators, at ACT Clean we have firmly aligned our values with that of our peers. The Acorn Awards epitomise what is great about our industry and recognise the brilliant talent of today and the leaders of tomorrow. Playing an important part in nurturing, developing and recognising these stars is essential in keeping British hospitality at the top of its game. We all know that our people are our greatest asset and that reward and recognition is important.

Our whole business is reliant on the success of our people so the Acorn Awards are perfectly in line with our own beliefs and practices. Last weekend, the Acorn winners – an amazing group of energetic, innovative and enthusiastic people - their nominators, our partners from Caterer and Hotelkeeper, Team Spirit and some of the Directors of ACT Clean gathered at Bovey Castle in Devon for a weekend of introductions, team building and of course celebration of success.

After introductions from Mark Lewis, Group Editor of Caterer and Hotelkeeper, and John Stevenson, one of the founders and owners of ACT Clean, an afternoon in groups preparing film advertisements in various different genres followed. Cue much hilarity and varying levels of humiliation.

Dinner followed on Sunday evening with the business end of the weekend, the actual awards, being presented during lunch on Monday. The top 30, under the age of 30, selected from a huge number of fantastic nominations from all parts of the UK, were presented by Mark and John with their trophies and join an elite band of Acorns.

John Stevenson said: "We were honoured to be part of the judging process of this year’s award and I can personally attest not only to the incredible standard and quality of each and every one of you, but also of those nominated who did not make it here today. You should be extremely proud of the recognition and I hope that you will make friends for the future as part of this exclusive club."
