Bathstore Celebrates Top Franchisees At National Franchise Conference
Bathstore held its 10th annual National Franchise Conference, in December, where three franchisees were recognised for their efforts and contribution to the business.
The three award winners were:Franchisee of the Year: Tony Norman and Nadine Cain (Sheffield store)
The owners of the Sheffield store were awarded Franchisee of the Year as they were judged the best performers in 2012 across a number of criteria including sales levels, standards of customer service, maintenance standards within their showroom, reporting compliance and operational excellence.
Speaking about their win Tony Norman and Nadine Cain said: “We’re thrilled to have been named Franchisee of the Year! It’s such an incredible accolade and means so much to be acknowledged. We’re looking forward to the year ahead, who knows – maybe we could win next year too.”
Most Improved Franchise: Karl Seagrave and Richard Burdett (Worcester store)
Karl Seagrave and Richard Burdett acquired the business from a previous franchise in October 2011 and have turned the businesses fortunes around – improving sales by nearly 100% and redeveloping the showroom to an impressive new format store. Talking about their success, the business partners commented: “We knew taking on the Worcester store would be a challenge, there have been some tough moments, but it’s been such a rewarding experience. It’s great to see all our hard work pay off.”
Special Recognition Award: Allan and Karen Curtis (Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells stores)
Allan and Karen were presented with the Special Recognition Award as they initially owned the Tunbridge Wells store, which opened in 2003, and then opened a second in Sevenoaks in May 2009. They were selected as they consistently operate their businesses at exceptionally high standards. The seamless transition from owning one to two franchised stores, all the while maintaining a consistently high level of service to their customers.
Allan and Karen Curtis commented on winning the award: “It’s been an incredibly exciting year for us. Going from owning one store to two has been hard work, but it’s been worth it! To be given the Special Recognition Award is the icing on the cake for a great year!”
