BFA seeks franchisors who have thrived throughout the recession

Now that the recession appears to be easing off, the search for franchisors who survived the tough economic climate is on.

The British Franchise Association (BFA) and HSBC Franchisor of Year Awards 2010, supported by Express Newspapers, are looking for inspirational stories of achievement.

For the awards, franchisors need to tell how they managed their franchise during the recession. This will also help to raise the profile of the franchise to suppliers, customers and potential franchisees- in addition to helping to motivate staff.

Three different awards are up for grabs- the BFA & HSBC Franchisor of the Year award, Express Newspapers Brand Builder of the Year Award and the HSBC Franchisee Support Award.

Director of the BFA, Brain Smart, said that the Franchisor of the Year award is for all members of the BFA, and allows franchisors to demonstrate their business practices in maintaining and enhancing brand awareness.

Those who want to enter need to be quick, as the last date for all entries is March 31st. Lucky finalists will be called for an interview with the judges on April 29th and 30th.
