Bluebird Care franchise owner wins her second prize in six months

Franchise owner Jane Perry scooped her second award in six months after launching her Bluebird Care business just over a year ago. Jane presently owns a Bluebird Care office in Edinburgh. She won the Best Newcomer award at a ceremony that was organised by the Scottish Care at Home, which is a nationwide body representing the private sector care business in Scotland.

Jane said that they were completely delighted by winning their second award in six months. They were operating in a challenging and complicated market under intense conditions. So, it is double reward to get acknowledged in this way. Jane, who owns one of the 44 Bluebird Care's offices that are nationwide, was voted as one of the best newcomer at the awards ceremony of Bluebird Care, last winter.

Bluebird Care's Managing Director, Paul Tarsey, stated that Jane has an appealing winning business combination of grit, sheer determination and talent. She established a flourishing business in spite of the economic downturn and completely deserves this award.

Jane said, although she came from a business background, she always wanted something that was commercial and can also fulfil the requirements of the community. Research and her own experience showed that people would rather get care in the comfort of their own homes than going into residential care. She further added, being a full time foster carer with her husband John, she knew how satisfying it is to do something that is valuable and makes a real difference in people’s lives.
