“I initially joined Business for Breakfast as a member to grow my telecoms business. It soon became apparent to me that referral marketing worked as a strategy to grow my business and that participation in the system, ethos and culture of Business for Breakfast secured quality business referrals.
"I was eager to secure success for my fellow Business for Breakfast colleagues so soon progressed through the ranks joining the executive team to help manage the forum and soon after to Local Director status launching and growing Ladies only groups in Staffordshire. When inviting fellow business women along to the breakfast meetings I was often faced with the same reason that they could not attend. They were responsible for the school run and they didn’t have early morning child care. The lunchtime meetings provided a solution to this problem.
"It was in 2012 when I was approached by the franchisors to join the team of regional franchisees. I was certain that the investment was a sound business decision from my years of involvement with the organisation and with my passion ignited to help drive growth for the local business community the decision to accept was one made with ease.
"I decided the time had come for a new challenge and with careful time management and effective systems and processes I could manage the new business venture alongside my current MD role.
"I received a programme of training and development from the franchisors to plan targets and goals for the forthcoming 12 months, three years and five years, followed by a series of hands on regional gatherings of other franchisees for sharing of best practice and good news stories.
"I am very proud of the business I have built and thankful of the ongoing support from Business for Breakfast. I enjoy the challenges It can bring, the members successes you witness and obviously the revenue I earn.”
