Caremark's Support Team Continues To Grow

Mid Summer marked a high point in the continued growth of Caremark’s central Support Team with the appointment of five key support and development roles. Caremark’s impressive and steady growth of its network to over 70 localities throughout the UK marks it as one of the top franchisors offering an amazing business opportunity in the rapidly growing Home Care market.

The new team members bring with them a wealth of expertise which will further enhance an already highly professional and experienced Support Team.

Kevin Lewis, CEO, commented: “I firmly believe that we now have one of the strongest Support Teams, both  in size and experience,  which I feel is essential to continue the fantastic success we have seen over the last five years.”

Craig Henthorn joined Caremark  as the new Managing Director in August 2011.  Having 15 years experience within the franchise industry , Craig brings to Caremark a whole range of expertise including franchise support, development and operational experience.  He intends to use all his skills to continue Caremark’s growth and is very excited to be leading the company to even greater development over the coming months.

On being asked what made him decide to join Caremark,  Craig reflected: “I already had experience in the franchise sector and knew it was something I liked. Caremark is a big company and is set to become massive within the care industry in the near future.  It’s very ethical, its objectives are clear and achievable; something I was looking for in a company.”

Craig has just completed the intensive two week franchise owner training course, which is standard for any new member of staff, giving him a thorough grounding in the Caremark system and the Care industry which it serves.  “Whilst it was very intensive and challenging, I was keen to experience the same training as our franchisees, which has given me the confidence to start my new role,” he commented.

Caremark continues to drive forward with plans for significant overseas development. Over the last five years Sean Cragg has played a significant role in Caremark’s impressive growth and has now taken on the responsibility for International Franchise Development.  With exciting plans for the Company during 2012 and beyond, Sean commented: “I am so enthused by the opportunity for our business enjoying international expansion and indeed the opportunity to shape our strategy and future success. Our offering will lend itself extremely well to many markets and the Master Franchise partnerships we are aiming to develop will bring many more professional people into the rewarding Care sector”.

Master Franchise and Area Development Opportunities are available Worldwide, with varying degrees of required investment.

Jo Oyama brings to Caremark a wealth of experience.  Although Jo’s background was not in franchising, her previous career model was similar, having worked  primarily with various charities, a few of which included MIND, Mencap, SCOPE and Primary Care Trusts. This involved business development, marketing and capacity development, which leaves her well placed  in her new role within the Care sector.  Although completely new to franchising, Jo commented: “Caremark has given me the chance to move into a different sector, whilst bringing current knowledge and skills to a new job.”

Jo now resides in the Brighton area making her ideally located  to support her region, as well as having a sound knowledge of the area from her previous role.

Karen Pennington joins Caremark with a  background of over 10 years in franchising having been a franchise owner with Pitman Training as well as Operations Manager in franchise support.  Her prior knowledge of care from her involvement with the family businesses of care homes,  complements her new role as Regional Support Manager within the Home Care sector.

“I think the franchising industry is a really good business model to work with and is one of the reasons I joined the company along with the ethics of the company and the level of support Caremark offers its franchisees.”

Jenny North joined Caremark earlier this summer to manage our continuing development of Specialist Services  focusing on Learning Difficulties, Young People in Transition, Acquired Brain Injury, Huntingdon’s Disease, Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease and Dementia.  Jenny has many years of experience working within these specialist areas having worked for over 20 years with West Sussex Social Services.

Upon joining Caremark Jenny commented: “It is exciting to be able to set up and develop a new specialist service under the Caremark name.  By offering a specific Support Service we enable some of the most vulnerable individuals to have a better quality of life whilst allowing the businesses to support a wider group of customers.”
