Launched in Australia in 1984, Cash Converters has grown exponentially with representation in 21 countries worldwide and a network of more than 600 international stores, with more than 200 in the UK.
Tony Wardley, 48, has been appointed as a Business Development Manager covering the North of England. Tony will be responsible for auditing and advising 45 stores and will be working closely with franchisees to provide strategic and tactical solutions.
Tony joins Cash Converters with a wealth of commercial brand experience having worked for Winter Hill Leisure Asset Management, Carlsberg UK, Punch Pub Company & American Airlines. “I bring with me a large amount of experience in harnessing and bringing out the best in those that I work with. Many of the franchisees I will be supporting have been in the business for over a decade, of course they know their business inside out, however I am able to offer a fresh perspective and share best practice across the region.”
Nathan will be identifying locations across the UK to help further expand the network and will report to Chief Executive, David Patrick. Nathan said: “With Tony’s appointment and my recent promotion, Cash Converters has a strong regional business development structure. The number of stores across the UK continues to grow weekly and these strategic changes ensure that all franchisees get as much support as they need to run a successful business.”
Commenting on the recent appointments, David Patrick, said: “People are at the heart of our business, we recruit highly motivated and enthusiastic staff who share the values of the company.
“Tony joins at a very exciting time for the company, we have experienced double figure percentage growth for the last eight years and this is set to continue. Nathan is a very experienced business development manager who has great relationships with franchisees across the UK. His new role is integral to the continued growth of the franchise network and further demonstrates our UK number one position.”
