Cash Converters UK Appoints Head Of Personal Finance

Cash Converters is further driving the expansion of its UK operations with the appointment of Chris Powley as Head of Personal Finance.

The newly created role will include responsibility for all lending activity across the UK, including personal loans, cash advance and online lending. Chris joins Cash Converters from Nortons Finance, the second biggest finance broker in the country, where he held the position of Operations Director. Prior to that, Chris was an area director for Lloyds TSB for 15 years.

Speaking on his appointment Chris said: “I have had experience working for market leading companies so when the Cash Converters opportunity presented itself, it was an obvious choice. When I met David Patrick, CEO, he talked so passionately about the business I knew it was where I wanted to be.

“The expansion plans he has put in place are both ambitious and attainable and I’m pleased to be working with the corporate head office team as well as the franchisees to achieve them. In addition I aim to build on the customer service experience as well as expand the Personal Finance area of the business in a compliant fashion.”

Launched in Australia in 1984, Cash Converters has grown exponentially, with representation in 21 countries worldwide and a network of more than 660 international stores, with more than 210 in the UK.
