ChipsAway Unveils New 'Turnkey' Franchise Package

Leading franchisor ChipsAway has unveiled a new forward looking format for its automotive paintwork repair franchise package. From January 2011 new franchisees will enjoy an enhanced range of benefits, including ongoing consumer advertising, marketing and business development support, for a single set price of £29,995 + VAT. The franchise will also become royalty based, further aligning the interests of franchisee and franchisor by facilitating increased investment in future development of the franchise network.

According to ChipsAway Chief Executive Lloyd Evans, the new look franchise package now provides a complete ‘turnkey’ business opportunity. “Whilst previously we offered a basic franchise package at a lower entry fee with certain elements as optional ‘add-on’s; now we have created a single, all-encompassing package that brings together all the key ingredients to successfully launching and building a business. We believe that this is more transparent and will offer a turnkey business opportunity that better equips franchisees from the outset, providing a strong foundation for the growth of a successful business.”

ChipsAway’s strong reputation and proven track record as a successful franchisor means that the bank is prepared to lend up to £25,000 as an unsecured loan for ChipsAway approved candidates. Prospective partners will need between £10,000 to £15,000 of their own funds to cover working capital and VAT.

On the question of ChipsAway becoming a management service fee based franchise, Lloyd added “We understand that the success of our franchisees is at the heart of our success as a franchisor. Clearly a management service fee based system is fairer to all franchisees and reflects our interest in supporting and motivating our network to become as profitable as possible. This will enable us to increase investment in improving our market share and brand position, in turn generating more business and directly benefiting franchisees.”
