Cost is important as recession continues
According to a recent study conducted by design and print franchise Kall Kwik, businesses are introducing too much of an emphasis on the cost when choosing a design and print supplier. The survey results showed that 44 per cent of businesses confessed that cost is the main driver when out-sourcing design and print work compared to only 28 per cent of businesses who said quality is important and 7 per cent said that creativity is their major consideration.
Managing Director of Kall Kwik UK, Mike Dewsbury commented that their research has revealed that cost is often one of the most prevailing factors when it comes to deciding on whether to appoint a design and print suppliers, especially during times of an economic downturn, pushing several other important considerations to the bottom of the list.
Businesses should always look to balance the pros and cons of a company by looking in detail at a number of factors such as cost, creativity, reliability, quality and turnaround time just to make sure that they get real value for money. Price alone will never guarantee the best quality on completion of a job and if production quality and design are poor or time limits are missed, the initial expense will be completely worthless.
More than ever, most businesses are working to maximise returns on their investment and this will mean scrutinising design and printing providers with an even more demanding list of criteria.
