London’s Favourite Crêperie Launches in Cardiff
London’s favourite crêperie launches in Cardiff Crêpeaffaire, the UK’s market leader and one of London’s favourite eateries, is adding another unit to its existing network of company-owned and franchise stores with the opening of its newest franchise crêperie store in Saint David’s Shopping Centre in Cardiff, led by Ash and Kanwal Dhillon.
Before joining Crêpeaffaire, Ash was an Engineering consultant and Kanwal was a Local Government Senior Manager. “We are both foodies and we just fell in love with the brand,” commented Ash. “The Crêpeaffaire model is very successful in Central London and our market research shows that this success can be replicated here in the West.”
Commented crêpeaffaire Founder and MD Daniel Spinath: “Franchising plays a key role in our development strategy and we are keen to work with great people at great locations.
"We are delighted that Ash and Kam are becoming part of the Crêpeaffaire family: the dedication and skill set they demonstrated during the recruitment and development process give us a great deal of confidence about the future of their business and the integrity of the Crêpeaffaire Brand.”
The Cardiff store will offer an extensive range of signature freshly-baked savoury and sweet crêpes made with organic flour and natural ingredients, both to eat in and to consume on the go. Waffles, organic coffees, juices, shakes and ice cream will complement the menu. The store will feature a brand new design and its trademare 'crêpe theatre' with crêpes being produced by Crêpeaffaire’s ultra-fast baking machine and hand finished to order.
Daniel Spinath added: “Crêpes are known and loved by everybody, but the UK crêpes market is highly fragmented with a myriad of operators without standardised production and strong management systems in place. The strength of our brand and system has turned us into market leaders with a great deal of appetite to expand.”
Ash Dhillon commented: “Crêpeaffaire’s support in finding and assessing our business location has been fantastic and they have given us a strong backing on store concept, design and logistics in a very professional way. This on-going assistance should allow us to expand the Brand to locations throughout the South West.”
The brand, which is a member of the British Franchise Asociation, is pursuing its development strategy involving a balanced mix of both company-owned and franchise stores, nationally and internationally. “It has been an exciting journey since we started in 2004 and we have a craving for more, however we shall combine development with a strong focus on our existing franchisees and company-owned stores,” says Daniel Spinath.
