Olympian Silver Medallist and World Record Holder Opens New Pitman Training Centre

Colin Jackson, the Olympian Silver Medallist and World Record holder, officially opened our new Pitman Training Centre in Stratford on 16 April 2012, in a bid to boost training and employment as part of the area’s regeneration project.

Colin gave a humorous but very thoughtful presentation on both his own background and the need for training in order to succeed in whatever vocation a person chooses. He spent around three hours at the centre reviewing our courseware, holding TV and press interviews and it was a great pleasure and honour for him to join us.

The Pitman Training Stratford franchise partners – Thaddeus Inekuku and John Akinyode - were also joined for the opening ceremony by Claire Lister, Mike Cressey, Jamila Juma-Ware and Andrew Walters – Managing Director, Franchise Manager, Marketing Manager and local Franchise Development Manager respectively.
