Ovenu Franchises Set For Success

Ovenu, a leading provider of domestic oven cleaning and oven valeting services in the UK, has celebrated the success of its franchisees at its 2013 AGM, which was attended by a majority of its 105-strong network.

The message that came out strongly from the AGM, which was held at The Hellidon Lakes Hotel in Daventry, is that Ovenu franchisees are well placed to thrive, and not just survive, in the still challenging economic conditions.

Rik Hellewell, Owner and founder of Ovenu, who has worked in the industry sector for more than 30 years and established the Ovenu brand back in 1993, said that the most successful franchisees are: “fighting fit and ready for the challenges that the current improving but still demanding conditions are creating.”

He said: “Ovenu is a very well established brand name and we are finding that those franchisees who are the most dedicated to the Ovenu brand, do by far the best in terms of revenue generated.

Franchisee success was celebrated at the conference with the most proactive winning accolades including Best Marketing & PR, which was presented to Paul Clark of Ovenu Warrington.

“We are seeing some terrific takings generated among our franchisees with many earning well in excess of £1,000 a week, which is clearly a very good return for any small business owner."

Hellewell explained that those franchisees making the best use of the resources they are given, whether that’s marketing support, including corporate branding, sales or financial planning advice, do by far the best. Directory links to the franchisees’ websites were also vitally important but having an effective online presence was not the "be all and end all" of business success, he said.

Hellewell added: “Many rival oven cleaning companies have come and gone over the past 18 years that we’ve been in business but we are staying ahead of the competition and not being complacent. Our network is strong and we are ready for whatever the economy throws at us.

“The Ovenu franchise model is tried and tested and anyone adhering 100 per cent to the corporate message and branding should do very well. We need to continue to evolve and beat the competition and to be prepared for the challenges that lie ahead. At Ovenu, we like to celebrate success and reward achievement and the very strong message coming from our franchisees is that their hard work and dedication to the brand will reap, and is reaping, rewards.”

Ovenu is a full member of the British Franchise Association (bfa) and the Approved Franchise Association (AFA).
