With his business experiencing monthly growth and an annual turnover of £1.5 million, Ross Edmonds is delighted. Ross said that his ongoing success is due to the extraordinary back-up that he received from his team and from the head office.
Ross joined the Netstationers franchise in February 2007 with a wealth of experience as a sales executive and with an ambition of building his own profitable business. The Head Office takes care of credit control and invoicing and delivers the goods and stock straightaway to the client. This means he and his team can focus in retaining the customer and winning business. Recently, due to the recession, the market has become highly competitive. However, their USP – the online ordering technology - puts them one step ahead in the competition. More than 90 per cent of their customers order online and the service sells itself.
The fact that Ross introduced a sales incentive for his staff makes sure that they remain motivated. For every target achieved, he takes his team out for a day. Earlier this year, they went out for a meal and if they smash the next target, Ross has promised his team an outdoor activity like clay pigeon or go-karting, both of which are great team building exercises. Ross also said that if his business keeps growing in this way, he is confident he will push up sales to £2 million for the next year.
