Second Successful Open Day For The Christmas Decorators
A few days before Christmas 2011, The Christmas Decorators held their first Open Day. This event was extremely successful and resulted in several new franchise owners completing their training with Christmas Decorators in recent weeks. Given the nature of the business, it can be extremely challenging to organise meetings for potential franchise owners during the run-up to Christmas and, therefore, plans were made for another Open Day to be held well before Christmas 2012.
It was held on Thursday, May 17th at the Christmas Warehouse in Liverpool and several potential franchise owners from very different parts of the United Kingdom were able to attend. They took the opportunity to discuss ideas with like-minded guests and ask questions about the business.
Nick Bolton, owner of The Christmas Decorators, together with his Franchise Managers, Ged Comerford and Maurice Kelleher, spoke about the business and gave an insight into what new franchise owners can expect from it. Then a short presentation was made by Tony Urwin, Director of Franchise Development Services North, about how The Christmas Decorators first went into franchising the business.
Earlier that week refresher training had been held for existing franchise owners on the decoration of Christmas trees. These trees, along with various lighting displays, were on view at the Open Day for the benefit of the potential franchise owners.
The whole event was extremely successful – from the feedback given on the day, it is clear the guests thought it was a great way to learn about the business in a relaxed and informal way. In particular, they all considered that it was an excellent opportunity to see existing displays and discover more about the fitting of Christmas lights and decorations. It is anticipated that several new franchise owners will join Christmas Decorators as a result of the latest Open Day.
