Childcare Expert Joins Surecare Team

Leading care provider SureCare has furthered strengthened its management team with the appointment of a childcare specialist.

Leah Winter has been brought on board as Children’s Services Business Development Manager. She will work with SureCare franchisees and branches to roll out a range of child-related services including nurseries, mobile crèches and babysitting.

Before joining SureCare, Winter was Nursery Manager with the Childbase Partnership, providing leadership to a number of nurseries within the group.

Winter, a mother of two, has previously worked as a consultant, trainer and contract manager for the National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) which saw her write training material and deliver training and development within nursery settings across the Midlands and South of England. She has also worked for a number of other leading children’s nursery chains including Kidsunlimited.

Winter is well placed to provide support to SureCare franchisees and branches on issues such as Ofsted, Health and Safety, Policy Enforcement, ISO accreditation and Environmental Health.

The appointment of a Children’s Services Business Development Manager is the latest key appointment to the SureCare management team, following the earlier arrival of Neil Farnworth as Head of Services and Development and Tracy Newcombe as Business Development Manager.

All three work closely with Managing Director Gary Farrer, Franchise Sales Manager Vikki Donnachie and other key members of the company’s head office team in Chester.

Gary Farrer said: “Leah’s appointment means that SureCare can provide its franchisees and branches with genuine expertise across all key areas of our business. No other company in our sector is able to match us for this level of in-house experience and knowledge.

“The care sector is changing rapidly and SureCare is pioneering in expanding the range of services it offers way beyond domiciliary care and into other areas such as childcare and home services.”

Winter said: “I am looking forward to working with existing and new franchisees to help them deliver a range of childcare services in their territories. There is a fantastic opportunity for SureCare to meet the growing needs of parents who are looking for quality childcare which is professional, safe and trustworthy.”

Last month, SureCare launched the care sector’s first ever micro franchises, giving budding entrepreneurs the chance to buy their own franchise from just £7,000, offering a range of unregulated home and childcare services.
