##Caremark (Barnsley) Enrols Care Worker As Dementia Champion
South Yorkshire home care provider, Caremark (Barnsley) is delighted that their Care Worker Susan Winter has enrolled to be a Barnsley Council Dementia Champion.

Passionate about delivering first-class care and support, Winter expressed a desire to make a difference to those with Dementia. This led her to enrol on the Dementia course and she is now mid-way through a 10-month training programme. The learning and training has been developed and designed by Barnsley local authority and is aimed at improving the quality of care delivered to those living with the condition through promoting good practice whilst raising the level of competencies across the Borough.

Once Winter has completed the training programme, she will be supported to apply her learning and experiences within Caremark (Barnsley), as well as support both colleagues and clients on a practical and ongoing basis within the community.

Caremark (Barnsley) provide bespoke care and support services to people of all ages, abilities and ethnicities enabling them to continue living independently and safely at home.
