#CeX franchise helped Rakesh Mazumear beat the recession
Before Rakesh Mazumear became a CeX franchise owner, he was working for long hours in the financial sector. As recession started hitting the financial sector, his work hours became longer and the job became a lot tougher.
Rakesh was first introduced to the concept of franchising when he was a lot younger. His mother worked as a sub-postmaster and was given guidelines on how to run her post office efficiently. These guidelines, according to Rakesh, were quite similar to the ones that are provided by franchisors to their franchises.
Rakesh decided to invest in CeX mainly because he was really interested in electronics and entertainment goods. Rakesh says that he always liked the concept of buying, selling and trading electronic and entertainment goods like mobile phones, CDs, DVDs and computer games. Before deciding upon CeX, he also visited a few of their existing stores and found the atmosphere to be quite good.
After deciding to opt for a CeX franchise, Rakesh was put through an eight week training programme which covered topics ranging from product information, management and retail sales. Rakesh’s CeX franchise has got off to a flying start and he is doing £20,000 of business every week.
