#ChipsAway appoints new marketing director
ChipsAway has appointed Robin Auld as its new marketing director. Auld is known for his work with the Domino`s brand, which he promoted to be perhaps the best-known in its industry.
ChipsAway is an on-the-spot paintwork repair franchise and was in fact the first to offer this service. ChipsAway is known for providing high quality repairs at a fraction of the cost of traditional body shops.
Auld is aiming to recreate his Domino`s success with ChipsAway:
The timing is absolutely right for ChipsAway. Those who know the brand, rate it extremely highly, with 85% stating that they would use ChipsAway again and recommend it to others.
Auld spent six and a half years at Domino`s and was marketing director for four. The network increased in size by 100 per cent in that time and there are now over 600 UK stores. The national advertising budget grew alongside that, from £8m to £22m.
He will meet ChipsAway franchisees at regional meetings and says he is looking forward to the challenge. He says the key to future growth lies in recruiting the right franchisees - those who are committed to developing their business and therefore the ChipsAway brand as a byproduct of that.
