#Computer Xplorers franchise arrange police visit to Carmyle School
Safety and Security have now become a priority in schools all over the country. Carmyle Primary school in Glasgow has taken this issue seriously and gave training to pupils about crime scene investigations. Training was provided after school, during Computer Xplorers classes. A local policeman, Mr. Steven Docherty, visited the class to check on the training that was given to children.
Every Wednesday, for one hour after school, training was provided to a number of students. This course lasted for six weeks and it was noted that many pupils were extremely enthusiastic about the program. During the course, students were taught how to examine finger prints and hair samples, and how to use digital microscopes. At the end of the class, pupils were given a crime scenario and were asked to solve it themselves.
John McGill, the owner of the Computer Xplorers franchise, who are based in South west Scotland said that he was very glad that Mr. Docherty visited the Crime Scene Investigation class. He went on to say that his presence added a very realistic dimension to the training. Pupils loved the fact that a real police officer came to the class and they were very excited about his arrival and enjoyed asking him questions.
The Computer Xplorers franchise is a concept that teaches young children in Scotland to learn technological skills and to enhance their confidence and competence levels.
