The relaxed and informal [Discovery Days](/page/right-at-home-uk/right-at-home-discovery-days.php) are also a chance for interested parties to really get to know Right at Home and the people behind it. Managing Director Ken Deary hosts regular Discovery Day meetings from the Right at Home UK head office in Preston, Lancashire.

He said: “The discovery day is a great way to learn about the care sector and consider whether you would be well-suited to our business. It’s also an opportunity for both the company and the attendees to get to know each other and assess whether we could work well together.

“The setting is friendly and informal and we will only invite a small number of candidates, so everyone gets chance to ask all the questions they came with.

“We understand that a new business affects the whole family and encourage interested candidates to bring their spouses or family members along too where possible.”

The agenda for Right at Home Discovery Days includes a presentation on the business and its position within the care sector, as well as discussions on territory options, financing and the business support provided at various stages of the franchise.

Deary continued: “For interested parties it is the start of a rigorous, two-way recruitment process that is driven by honest and open communication, as we will only move forward with candidates who we feel share our core values and have the attributes required to successfully represent the Right at Home brand.”

This process goes on to include an in-depth interview, independent validation calls with UK franchisees and a second Discovery Day once due diligence has been completed, at which candidates must present their outline business plan, demonstrating what they have learned so far.
