Leading recruitment franchise, Driver Hire, has just completed the re-sale of two of its Southern region franchises – Luton and Twickenham.
The new owners of Driver Hire Twickenham are Sonny and Avi Samra. Before joining the Driver Hire network Sonny worked in a management role for the Home Office and Avi was a primary school teacher.
Commenting on their decision to invest in a Driver Hire franchise Sonny said: "We both felt it was time for a change. Having looked at various options we agreed that franchising offers a safer route into self employment. We're really excited by the prospect of running our own Driver Hire franchise. As with any business, it will be a challenge, but working with our franchisor, we make a great team."
Meanwhile at Luton, the new owner is Charanpreet Singh Parhar – Chaz for short. Chaz previously worked in customer services for Paypoint Network Ltd. "I'd always wanted to work for myself," says Charanpreet. "I like the idea of franchising because there's support from the franchisor. That, coupled with Driver Hire's proven business model, enables me to offer an in-depth range of recruitment and training services."
Welcoming Sonny, Avi and Chaz to Driver Hire, Graham Duckworth, Driver Hire's Franchise Sales Director added: "This is a great time to be joining the network. We've just completed another record year – our fifth in succession. As a result the average turnover at a Driver Hire office has now climbed to £1.2m. That's three times the national average figure published in the most recent NatWest/bfa survey (published 2015). We're looking forward to helping our new franchisees develop and grow their Driver Hire businesses."
