#Entrepreneurial Draper Brothers Look To Expand Yoghurt Franchise Globally
Branches of yoghurt franchise Yeh! Yogurt & Café could soon become a feature on high streets, thanks to clothing company entrepreneurs Jon and Marvin Gurman.
The idea for the frozen yoghurt franchise — owned by the twin brothers who are behind the Canadian brand JCorp — came after Marvin tasted the treat at a Californian shopping centre more than five years ago.
Marvin said: “It was about a year later I was walking down St. Laurent Boulevard with my daughter and we came across a Yeh! Yogurt & Café, with a self-serve format and more than 40 different toppings.”
So impressed with the taste and presentation of the product, the pair decided to take the product global. “We agreed we could really build this thing,” said Jon. “We call ourselves the Starbucks of the yogurt business.
“Most yoghurt places look like ice cream shops. That is not the case with us. From one location when we started, we will have 30 in operation by the end of 2013,” he conluded.
