#etyres helps out Tesla showroom

The Kingston branch of etyres has been helping out the London Tesla showroom, equipping the Tesla Roadster sports cars with new tyres.

Kingston branch manager, Mark, said:



“They are fantastic cars and we are really happy to be helping out with the tyres.”



The Tesla showroom is opposite Harrods in Knightsbridge. In order that the tyres can be replaced, the cars have to be brought up to street level in a lift from where they are kept underground.

Tesla`s service manager said:



“etyres were recommended to us and we are very pleased with the service provided by Mark and his team.”



There are fewer than 40 Teslas on the roads in the UK at present, but they are becoming increasingly popular despite their £100,000 price tag. 300 have been sold in Europe.

The Roadster is known for its rapid acceleration. It is faster than a Porsche, yet its energy efficiency is twice as good as that of a Prius.

As Jeremy Clarkson himself said:



“I cannot believe this – that’s biblically quick. This car is electric, literally. The top speed may only be 125mph but there’s so much torque it does 0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds. Not bad from a motor the size of a watermelon and which has only one moving part.”
