##Hughes Buys Into Birmingham Recruitment Success Story
Lisa Hughes has purchased the Birmingham franchise of specialist recruitment business, [Driver Hire](/archive/driver-hire-nationwide/driver-hire-franchise.php). Long-standing franchisee Jim Richards having decided to realise his investment in the franchise after 14 highly successful years in charge.

Established for 30 years, Driver Hire provides temporary and permanent drivers and other logistics staff to businesses and organisations across the UK. They help when customers need extra staff to deal with holidays, illness or business expansion. Driver Hire has just enjoyed two record business years and could be heading for another one this year.

Before becoming her own boss Lisa previously worked for Outsauce a provider of finance, back office support, accounting and contractor services specialising in the recruitment industry. That’s where she first came across Driver Hire.

“I’ve always wanted to work for myself,” said Hughes. “However, I don’t know whether I would ever have been brave enough to do it totally on my own. Franchising provides support and a proven business model. This gave me the confidence to go for it. Driver Hire is a great brand and has many very successful offices. I was encouraged to talk to individual franchisees and they all seemed really happy, which speaks volumes.”
