Following its commitment to supporting nurses and healthcare assistants alongside Cavell Nurses’ Trust, Kare Plus has once more pledged its support by becoming a founding member of the charity’s ‘Working with’ initiative.
Developed for organisations that share Cavell Nurses’ Trust’s core beliefs and want to provide support for healthcare professionals, the UK’s most established multi-service healthcare franchise has signed up to contribute to the creation of a long-term safety net for nurses and HCAs in the UK.
Recent research by Cavell Nurses’ Trust unveiled that nurses are not only twice as likely to suffer financial hardship, but are also three times more likely to face domestic abuse than the general public. With nurses being at the epicentre of the healthcare system, supporting thousands of people each year, the new ‘Working with’ campaign has been developed to help combat these recent findings and ensure we’re here to support nurses in their time of need.
Kare Plus Director of Operations, Dominic Rothwell, explained why the organisation decided to pledge further support to the charity through the ‘Working with’ campaign: “Each of our 80 offices across the UK work alongside nurses and HCAs each day, so the opportunity to support to them through Cavell’s new initiative is only natural progression for our partnership. We are extremely proud to be able to support the charity and the hundreds of healthcare professionals it helps each year.”
Kare Plus has been supporting Cavell Nurses’ Trust throughout 2017, with the entire network raising thousands of pounds and awareness for the charity through a variety of events; including sponsored skydives, bicycle rides and awards dinners.
