#Martin & Co Rewards Franchisees For Another Successful Year

Martin & Co held their 17th National Conference and awards dinner this month to celebrate a fantastic year and to reward its national franchise network for their hard work.

Franchise of the Year was awarded to Michael van de Vyver, who is the owner of the Chelsea franchise, is due to open his second franchise following his success with his first branch. Factors contributing to van de Vyver’s award included his best performance on lets, the highest percentage of revenue growth in 2013 and highest percentage of revenue growth, among many others.

Martin and Kate Crown of the Nottingham franchise just missed out the award, but were awarded Best Established Business earlier in the evening. Martin and Kate have been operating their franchise for over 13 years, so the award was well-deserved.

The event gave Martin & Co’s franchisees an opportunity to come together and celebrate their business success and the success of the network as a whole over the last year. The annual conference and awards ceremony is just a small part of the training and support programme offered to Martin & Co’s franchisees.

Peter and Rani Grieve scooped the Best Business for Growth award for an outstanding performance from their Gloucester office. The business has grown substantially year on year from when they acquired the Gloucester franchise back in 2010 and added this office to their well-established Worcester franchise. Peter said: Rani and I are hugely delighted to pick up this award in recognition of our hard work and dedication. Our team share our overriding desire to deliver the very best possible level of customer service and it is clear to us that it is this in-built ethos has helped build our business to where we find ourselves today.

Mitul Gadhia, owner of the Loughborough franchise, took the award for Best Young Business. Rekha has been operating his franchise for just over a year and was given the award for the best performance on first lets in his first year of trading: “My business is little over a year old so to win this award so early on has been a very proud moment for me. I hope to continue my first year of success and, with the great support from the team at Martin & Co, maybe next year I’ll have even more awards to my name!”
