#Razzamataz announce summer schools for children
In recent years, performing arts have received a huge boost because of reality television programmes such as How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria and I’d Do Anything.
But the most recent BBC programme, Over the Rainbow, has inspired one well known franchise to set up some classes for children over the summer holidays.
Razzamataz Theatre Schools has always been a successful franchise, particularly with the backing it has received from Duncan Bannatyne of Dragons’ Den fame. But the number of children inspired by the BBC programmes has really shot up and the Razzamataz is taking full advantage of this.
The Razzamataz Theatre Schools are running summer stage academies throughout the summer all over the country and they will be based on The Wizard of Oz. During the classes, children will be able to get involved in dancing, singing and acting and they will even be able to have a go at set design and behind the scenes skills such as stage hair and make up.
The courses will run for five days and at the end of those five days, there will be a presentation to their families. Children will also receive a certificate to recognise their achievements.
