##Record Breaking Summer For Fish & Chip Sales
Harry Ramsden’s fish and chips has enjoyed another record-breaking summer, delivering an impressive 9.8% increase in like-for-like Q3 sales, to the end of September.
The success is in part credited to the enhanced proposition and the £2m investment which resulted in the refurbishment of a number of seaside properties including Blackpool, Great Yarmouth and Eastbourne.
The partnership with Welcome Break is flourishing and franchising continues to generate exceptional interest both nationally and internationally, with commercial agreements now in place which will deliver more than 140 sites over the next 10 years. The period also saw the first openings under the new strategy in Worthing (restaurant) and Falkirk (traditional local) with delighted franchisees reporting higher than expected levels of trade.
Joe Teixeira, CEO of Harry Ramsden’s, commented: “Group wide, our outlets are trading ahead of expectations, as customers re-engage with, or for the first time, are introduced to our brand which has been revitalized over the past two years. Over the coming months, we will continue to focus on delivering the highest levels of customer satisfaction, underpinned by Product Quality, Service Excellence and Value for Money. To that end, we will continue to invest heavily in our people to meet that commitment.”
