##Solar Electricity Systems Expands into South Wales With First Franchisee
Solar Electricity Systems, the fast-growing Glasgow-based renewable energy business, has expanded its UK reach to South Wales with the appointment of its first franchisee. The company, which employs over 60 people in the east end of Glasgow, already has a branch in Stockport, Greater Manchester.

Glyn Thomas, based in Pontyclun, just outside Cardiff, will represent the company throughout south Wales and beyond. Thomas has over three years’ experience in the renewable energy sector, mainly on the sales and marketing side, and previously worked for a major IT software business.

Solar Electricity Systems installs a range of money-saving renewable energy devices, including photo-voltaic roof panels, thermodynamic and solar thermal hot water systems, as well as energy saver voltage optimisers, into homes across the country.Jim Kirkland, Managing Director, said: “Glyn’s valuable experience and understanding of the renewable sector in Wales makes him an ideal candidate to be our first franchisee. All installation, regulatory compliance, finance provision and administrative support will be supplied by Solar Electricity Systems, with Glyn providing all of the required sales and marketing input to drive lead-generation.

“Everyone knows that increased energy prices are a one-way bet. Our products are in huge demand from householders who realise that by investing in and installing energy saving devices at home, they are giving themselves the best protection against future energy price rises.”

The company is currently seeking to appoint franchisees in the north of England and expects to open a further branch in the south of England later this year.
