#Subway celebrates its 10th birthday in style
The Subway chain which is the leading sandwich provider in the United Kingdom is now celebrating its 10th successful year in Scotland. This celebration has been brightened by some sunshine from the Caribbean.
A reggae steel band all the way from Jamaica performed at Glasgow’s George Square yesterday and people attending this function had a chance to win a trip to Jamaica. What a way to celebrate!
The first Subway in Scotland opened in July 1999 at Glasgow’s Union Street and the brand has gone from strength to strength since then.
Shahid Sadiq who is the owner of a Subway franchise at Union Street has stated that he is really proud to be part of a business which has brought a whole lot of money and jobs to Scotland. Shahid opened his store in 1999 and had high expectations from it. He however, has not been disappointed one bit. All his expectations have been met and he is a proud Subway franchise owner. Shahid and his brother now own about 27 Subway franchises between them and they are looking forward to another decade of success with the Subway franchise.
